PLA Bottles: A Trending Environmentally Friend Packaging Solution for Your Products

How is PLA Created

Polylactic acid or polylactide (PLA) is a thermoplastic aliphatic polyester derived from renewable biomass, typically from fermented plant starch such as from corn, cassava, sugarcane or sugar beet pulp.

There are some advantages in applying PLA bottles.

In using plants, there are no toxic fumes during production.

PLA breaks down into water and carbon dioxide. It won't disintegrate or degrade while stored on shelves. For degrading to occur, the temperature would have to be over 71℃ and a humidity greater than 90% for about 60-80 days.

PLA bottle can contain hot inner products up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit and 200 degrees Fahrenheit for utensils

It is compostable in approximately 6-12 months in a home composter.

The PLA bottles are freezer-safe.

PLA bottles look, handle and feels just like PET.
